The grandfather of the family takes advantage of Cretan land’s generosity and exploits the derivatives of olive since 1950. Pretty soon the personal occupation of harvesting and study of the olive crop, lays the foundation for the establishment of a standard traditional soap factory in the historic city of Chania.
The dedication and virtuosity regarding preparation of this pure, natural, raw material, passes from generation to generation. In 1989, Nikolaos Partsalakis, grandson of the family, creates BODYFARM with the same respect and love for research, production and promotion of natural care products that provide complete body and face care.
Since the birth of the company in 1989 until mid of 1995, BODYFARM is dedicated to the production and trading of pharmaceutical products. The products are available from selected pharmacies and stores throughout the country.

It is true that both health and beauty secrets are well hidden in herbs. Because indeed, in every herb or herb, there is something unique: a mixture of active substances and other active ingredients to which every living organism proves to be highly receptive.
At BODYFARM, this knowledge is transformed into a practical result, as our natural products bring out in the best possible way the beneficial properties of herbs, medicinal and cosmetological.
The natural beneficial substances we use are divided into:
EXTRACTS, rich in vitamins, flavonoids, trace elements and fatty acids, which offer hydration, nourishment and antioxidant protection of the skin.
VEGETABLE OILS, the juice that nourishes plants with vitamins, trace elements and valuable fatty acids. They are used safely and are very easily absorbed by the hair and especially the skin, offering rich hydration, increasing skin elasticity and antioxidant protection. They are the most ideal solvents for Essential Oils.
ESSENTIAL OILS, volatile liquids of an oily consistency with an aromatic odor, high concentration of active ingredients and particularly effective properties – through smell and absorption by the skin – for rejuvenating, relaxing and stimulating the body. Their nutrients, active acids and vitamins are proven to slow down the aging process.

These natural ingredients have replaced, up to 100%, the use of dangerous chemicals, toxic substances and ingredients. For example:
– the Mineral Oil, which covers the pores of the skin with a thin film-like layer preventing its ability to breathe, eliminate toxic substances, hydrate and create new healthy cells. It causes black spots, pimples, dehydration, photosensitivity, (hypersensitivity to the sun-spots), premature aging of the skin. It is blamed for cardiac and allergic disorders, immune system disorders, kidney and liver damage, difficulty breathing.
– Paraffin (Paraffinium Liquidium), petroleum derivative, toxic. Causes eye irritation, skin contact dermatitis, headaches, dizziness, anesthesia. It has similar symptoms to Mineral Oil.
– Parabens, particularly toxic preservatives, which increase the shelf life of products. They cause allergies and dermatitis.
– Propylene Glycol, an aqueous and solvent agent, a complex petrochemical mixture, which serves to preserve moisture and as a solvent in the preparation of extracts. A widely available ingredient, which due to low cost is used instead of vegetable glycerin. It causes allergic and toxic reactions.
– the non-biodegradable Silicones, which clog the pores of the skin preventing its ability to breathe, are irritants and accumulate in the liver and lymph nodes. They burden, among other things, the environment.
– SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), a substance of synthetic origin (from petroleum), used in shower gels and shampoos as a foaming cleanser. Causes eye irritation, skin rashes and itching, hair loss, dandruff and allergic reactions.
